A VERY BRITISH

WEB PAGE

Well, it's taken a while, but I've finally got around to updating the website to include our May 2009 trip report.

It's an indication of how things have changed on the internet that my first few trip reports were nearly entirely text. A few photos started to appear as broadband became more widespread and these got bigger as bandwidth increased.
Video came next and this first appeared in 2006. I try to keep the video files at a happy medium between quality and size. Luckily my web hosting company keeps increasing my web space, it's currently up to 1.5Gb, so that has allowed slightly better quality video in the latest report.
Who knows where it will all end? It still amazes me that all these little 1's and 0's can combine to send information anywhere in the world in a few seconds. If a few of those 0's could find their way on to the end of the figure indicating my total net wealth, I'd be even more impressed!

Given the current financial climate, who knows when or where our next holiday will be. A daughter starting university doesn't help either. Still, if all we can afford is a weekend camping in Torquay, I'm sure we'll still have fun. Let's face it, we haven't been exactly unfortunate in the number of holidays and the wonderful places we've seen over the last few years.
