Florida
- Day 14
Thursday 6th November 2025
Participants: Tam, Kev, India, Georgia and Charlie
We're up at
7.30 am and have a quick breakfast before walking to the boatdock
to meet Sharon and Evan at 8.30 am for the ride to Disney's
Hollywood Studios.
We have Lightning Lane Multipasses again today, so we'll see how
we get on.

Star Tours is the first LL, but I don't ride as it gives me motion sickness. Next up is the new Little Mermaid show. I think it's very good and probably better than the original. Smugglers Run is next using the single rider line and I get to be one of the pilots.

Yes, we have one of those photos taken.

That's better. A far more sensible picture.
A quick stop at
Ronto's Roasters for a wrap where Tam also has a cold brew which
she likes a lot before riding Rise of the Resistance twice using
the single rider line. It's virtually a walk on although you do
miss two of the pre-shows. The CM's in here are great, playing
their parts very well. I get told to move up to a particular spot
but don't hear the first time. I say 'Oops, sorry'. The CM
replies 'Don't be sorry, be better'.
We see the new villains show next and I'm impressed. The theatre
is very good and the show fun although clearly rigged as you get
to cheer for the villain you want to win and the loudest villain
didn't.

We ride Toy Story Mania using the Lightning Lane (I don't know
who won, just assume it wasn't me or I'd be bragging about it)
and then Slinky Dog Dash again with a Lightning Lane. Tam and I
have only ridden this once and that was in the dark. The girls
and Charlie are sat behind us and they are laughing their heads
off as all they can hear is Tam shouting 'Oh, oh, oh .... oh my
God, oh my God, oh my God' all the way round.

Charlie's favourite Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway is next using another Lighning Lane pass. All bar Tam and I go to Tower of Terror (another LL), we go to sit outside the ABC Commissary. When we all meet up we have lunch. I can't remember what it is though.

Tam, Sharon and go to see the Frozen Singalong, not because I particularly want to sing along, just that I've never seen it before. The younger contingent go for a beer. Now that I write that it seems the wrong way round. Still, we oldies make up for it later.
We have a 4.20 pm reservation at Oga's Cantina and we go there next. We enjoy this as much as the first time we did it years ago. There are Stormtroopers mingling around, I wonder how they keep their armour so shiny. One catches me videoing him and walks past shaking his head in disgust.

What's the first thing you want after drinking cocktails in Oga's? Blue milk. (shakes head wearily)
Tam, Sharon and
I decide to keep drinking and go to Baseline Tap Room while the
younger ones do Rise of the Resistance and Smugglers Run single
rider.
Tam and I share a beer flight and I have another beer as we sit
and chat with Sharon. It's very nice to have some downtime with
her to chat and catchup with all that's been going on in our
lives, although Tam and I struggle to outdo Sharon with our tales
as she's been travelling the world with Keith as well as recently
returning form climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
We meet up and then immediately split up as Tam and I wander round in the dark looking at the Christmas decorations, the rest ride Rock 'n Roller Coaster. I grab a beer from a cart and Tam has another cold brew coffee thing and we all meet back up for the 2 projection shows in front of the theatre. They're nice enough, but not a must see.

We leave the park at 9.30 pm and get the Skyliner back to Epcot. More 'Oh my God's from Tam as you get the slight drop as it goes over a pylon. At one point it stops for a while and the conversation deteriorates into whether we need a make shift toilet in the corner if we're stuck up here for days. Yes, it has reached that time of the day.
Back in the room we have a cup of tea and a slice of toast before bed at 11.30 pm. I must admit that I have maligned the Lightning Lane Multipass quite a lot on this holiday, but it worked much better for us in DHS. I still don't like having to pay more for it, but at least there was some benefit to it today.
