Participants: Tam, Kev, India, Georgia and Charlie
After breakfast we decide to get the kayaks out. It's too difficult from the dock as there's no ladder but Kev manages to get in down the side and heads off. [Kev - it did involve getting into the kayak and then sort of limboing backwards under the dock.] He says he followed the inlet to a lake with huge houses. I go out next with Charlie and just as we set off we spot a Manatee. It's lovely to see it's little snout coming up for air. It's a really peaceful place to kayak. George and Ind go out next and see lots of manatees.
[Kev - it's wonderfully peaceful slowly paddling along. I don't think I saw anybody else the whole of the time.]

After a crisp sandwich and coke lunch we chill round the pool.
We head out around 6pm for the sunset but pop into The Porch restaurant to make a reservation which we get for 8pm. We find a table at The Sandbar on the sandy part of the patio and get drinks. It's very busy with people watching the sun sinking into the sea. The girls and Charlie have a frozen pina colada with rum float and Kev and I have rum runners. Not the best sunset,but as people leave the sky changes again to be pretty. Go in the shop and buy George a Sandbar retro sweatshirt and a long sleeve top for Kev and me to share.
[Kev - if you wait for a while after the sun goes down the crowds clear out. It's also when it's at it's most beautiful.]

Go to The Porch and have a table inside. Charlie has steak, I have pork and the others have fish. The sides were garlic, parmesan mash and sprouts with wine plumped raisins, feta and brown sugar glaze. The sprouts were amazing. We all have wine and also get a slice of key lime pie to go. Home for early ish night.
